The very studious billboards

Biogaran,
France

The Challenge

Biogaran, is France's leading laboratory for generic medicine, and this campaign specifically promoted their over-the-counter range, Biogaran Conseil. Since it relates directly to healthcare products, it naturally fits within the healthcare category. The campaign focuses on a key healthcare issue in France: the risks involved with self-medication linked to the fact that people don’t often ask advice to their pharmacists when auto- medicating. The campaign’s goal was to bring a healthcare solution: nudge consumers to ask advice to their pharmacists.

The Solution

The creative idea was built around a simple yet powerful concept: making pharmaceutical knowledge feel as overwhelming as it truly is. To achieve this, the campaign used a striking visual—a poster composed entirely of tiny, densely packed medication leaflets, mimicking the sheer volume of information pharmacists must master. At its core, a direct and thought-provoking message: "You could try to absorb seven years of pharmacy studies... or simply ask your pharmacist." This approach humorously exaggerated the impossibility of self-education in medicine, reinforcing the pharmacist’s irreplaceable role. By turning pharmaceutical expertise into something visually impenetrable, the campaign shifted perceptions: instead of seeing pharmacists as mere vendors, they became invaluable sources of knowledge. This idea not only addressed the issue of self-medication but also restored pharmacists' professional status, making their expertise tangible in a way no one could ignore
