BEES is the largest B2B beverage app in Brazil, operated by Ambev, with a solid base of small bars and merchants — many of whom support entire families. In 2024, Rio Grande do Sul faced the worst flood in decades, with cities submerged and thousands of businesses destroyed. In this context, BEES saw the urgency to act, transforming its sales platform into an emergency support network. This move reflected not just a response to the disaster, but a reinterpretation of the brand’s very mission: using the power of logistics to help communities rebuild. This solution was only possible in this market, at this moment, and with this brand — where technology, reach, and purpose came together.
The Solution
As floods devastated southern Brazil, BEES transformed its sales app into an emergency relief platform in less than 24 hours. Using real-time data, it mapped affected bars, sent out help notifications, and activated a massive logistics operation for donations, cleaning supplies, and legal and psychological support. Creatively, the challenge was to use technology and communication in an empathetic, useful, and fast way. The result was a historic increase in brand trust and relevance.
